Wednesday, Will had to finish up his shots for Pre-K. It wasn't the best time I have ever had but we got through it and he is doing well. After his shots he was excited to get Buzz Lightyear and Woody stickers. We are up to date and ready to start school on Aug. 9th. I can't believe my little Will-Man is starting school this year.

Logan got in on the action with some stickers himself. He chose T-Rex and Buzz & Woody!

Needing a weekend from our weekend...

Friday night, Billy and I joined some of my closest college friends and Phi Mu sisters (in Brookhaven)to celebrate National JHudg Day (aka: Jenny's 30th Birthday). It was so good to see all of them again. It has been way too long.
.
On Saturday morning, we met the OLCanton Core team for a time of prayer and inviting the community of Canton to our new Oak Leaf Campus. After that the group headed to Ballground for a cookout at the Goodwin home. It was a great time of food and handing out with great friends.

Saturday night, we headed to the Cartersville Country Club to attend the surprise 40th Birthday party of Kenny Westmoreland. There was a DJ and the boys had a great time dancing with all of the older kids. Kenny's cake was a replica of his fishing boat. It was AMAZING!

Kobey helps Kenny blow out the candles.

Got Cake?

Logan breaks it down to "Apple Bottom Jeans".

Will does the Cha Cha Slide.

Early(4:00am)Sunday morning, the Oak Leaf Church volunteers geared up for our second preview service. I am so excited about what God has planned for the city of Canton. I am proud to be a member of a church that leads people from where they are to where God wants them to be.

Logan loves church at the theatre.
Will likes getting paint on his clothes and face.

After church, we headed to Uncle John & Aunt Deb's house to visit and swim. We met Uncle Derrick, Aunt Sis, Kendyl & Kole there for an evening of swimming and homemade ice cream. I was so proud of both of the boys. Swimming lessons really paid off. Will was jumping off the diving board and swimming to the steps with no arm floaties. He is such a big boy. Logan was swimming to the bottom of the shallow end to get toys from the bottom. We had a great afternoon.

This week has been so much fun! The boys have had swimming lessons and I have been very impressed with the progress they both have made this week. This time last year Logan would hardly get in the water at all and now he is going under water to get toys from the bottom. Heather Hayes has done a fabulous job with my favorite little fish.

What a week...

Tuesday is our weekly "Movie Day". The boys and I headed out early to catch Madagascar at the AMC on Barrett Parkway. The boys always need their popcorn to make a good movie perfect.

Wednesday, we headed to Alpharetta to have family dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The boys always love hanging out with the grandparents and never seem to want to go home.

Friday, we enjoyed an afternoon at the pool and then topped it off with a trip to the library. Will really enjoyed that Kendyl Westmoreland came to visit and play. He made her read like 50 books with him. My kids adore Kendyl. On Friday night, we got the chance to hang out by the pool with our friends Missy and Kenny. The boys loved swimming in their pool and eating ice cream.

Saturday morning, we headed to Calhoun to watch Kendyl, my neice, play in the State Softball Tournament. She did amazing and her allstar team won 11-1 over Bartow White. From there we were off to church and dinner with Grammie and Grandpa. We had a great time.

Sunday, it was back to Calhoun to watch Kendyl take on Gordon County. In a come from behind victory they won 13-12. Kendyl did a great job and her team got 3rd place in the tournament. After leaving the ball park we met the Griffins back at our pool for an afternoon of fun in the sun. It was a jam packed weekend but we had a BLAST!

4th of July Weekend...

The weekend of July 4th, we joined family in a weekend of camping. After packing our tents, sleeping bags, swimsuits and snacks we headed out to the lake. The boys had a wonderful time swimming, fishing and hanging out with their cousins Kendyl and Kole.

On Sunday, Billy ran the Peachtree Road Race. After the race we went to Aunt Deb and Uncle John's house for a 4th of July cookout. As always, we had a fabulous time hanging out with our family.

Sunday afternoon we headed back to the lake for another night of camping. The boys enjoyed riding bikes, swimming and playing with glow sticks. We also snacked on brownies and homemade ice cream.

On Monday, July 5th, we went out on the lake with Tim and Cindy Steele. The weather could have not been more perfect for a boat ride. The boys enjoyed jumping into the lake from the boat and Will even got to drive the boat. Everyone had a fabulous time. I love holiday weekends!!!

A Day in the Life...

Today was a busy day. We started the day off with a special pancake breakfast for my favorite fellas. Then, we went to the Hickory Flat Public Library for a "Balloon Animal" demonstration. With another birthday comes emissions checks and car tags. Fun Times! Right? After we finished this fun, the boys and I went to McDonald's for lunch and play time. Finally, we went back to the library to work on Will's Pre-K summer reading list. I cannot believe that my little
Will-man will start school in a little over a month. Where has the time gone?
